The 19th edition of COLCOA closes on a spirited note with this romcom that puts coming out of the closet in a whole new light. The talented Pio Marmaï plays Jérémy, a young man who has a drunken one night stand with a gorgeous Swedish girl named Adna. No cause for panic – unless your engagement announcement happens to be days away, and unless your betrothed happens to be a man, and most worrying of all, you enjoyed your first sexual encounter with a woman more than you thought you would. As his wedding date draws closer, Jérémy inexplicably finds himself scheming to see more of Adna. Franck Gastambide enlivens the proceedings as the shallow, straight shooting macho friend nudging Jérémy into Adna’s arms.

In 2013, France legalized gay marriage, and the writing/directing team of Noémie Saglio and Maxime Govare jumped on the subject for their feature debut. The film took the top prize at this year’s Alpe d'Huez Festival of Comedy. Saglio and Govare cut their teeth at Canal Plus, where they made the TV film Les voies impénétrables in 2012. Always working in comedy, Saglio gained notoriety as the co-creator, along with Eloise Lang, of the Canal Plus hidden-camera hit, Connasse (2013). The series stars the irascible Camille Cottin, who plays supporting role in I Kissed A Girl, and spawned a feature film, Connasse, princesse des coeurs, set for completion this year, co-directed by Saglio and Lang. Govare has written for and produced numerous television series since 2011, including The Judge Is a Woman (2011-2014) and Ma pire angoisse (2014).
