The head of the organized crime division of the Grenoble police is arrested. After 25 years of apparently irreproachable police work, the cat is now the mouse, and for the next four days he will be drilled on evidence pointing to his associations with known criminals, and to the theft of seized drugs, later used to compensate informants. Based on the notorious true case known as the Neyret Affair, this fly-on-the-wall exposé pits a morally uncompromising special investigator against a pragmatic cop willing to cross the line to get the job done. Inspired by Christophe Gavat’s autobiography 96 Hours, Borderline is written by former policemen, including the film’s director Olivier Marchal (36^th Precinct, COLCOA 2005).  Incidentally, Marchal hired Michel Neyret as a consultant for his feature film, A Gang Story (COLCOA 2012).
